Rossmanagher Cottage is located in a quiet and scenic area just 5 Minutes from Bunratty Castle and Folk park and 10 Minutes from Shannon Airport. The towns of Limerick and Ennis with shopping centres, pubs and restaurants are only a short drive away.
All the sights of County Clare and North Limerick are within easy reach: West and North Clare with the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, Doolin and Lahinch, Kilkee and the Loop Head Peninsula; East Clare with Quin Abbey, Knappogue Castle, Cragganauen Project and Lough Derg; Lough Gur in North Limerick. Killarney and the Ring of Kerry to the South as well as Galway and Connemara
to the North are both less than two hours away and can easily explored on
day trips from the cottage.
Bunratty Castle as well as Knappogue Castle host medieval banquets every evening. Theatre, cinemas and concert halls are both in Limerick and Ennis. There are various traditional Irish Pubs in the area, the most famous of them being Durty Nellys next to Bunratty Castle, just 5 Minutes away.
Golfers find plenty of variety on the golf courses nearby in Dromoland Castle and Limerick as well as on the many other golf courses in the area, in Ennis, East Clare, in Lahinch, Spanish Point, Doonbeg, Kilkee and Kilrush. The lakes and rivers in the area are well stocked for the
angler;
Atlantic charters are available from Kilkee and Kilrush for deep sea and shark fishing. The beaches on
the west coast are all within
one hour driving
time, attractive for bathers, swimmers and surfers alike. Further
activities easily available include horse riding, cycling, walking.
